How to correct name in pan card

The Income Tax Department of India issues a ten digit alphanumeric identifier known as a Permanent Account Number (PAN or PAN Card). The IT department also issues e-PAN, which is an electronic form of PAN card and digitally signed. Those who pay tax, must have a Pan Card. Also, those who transact money also need a PAN card.

Follow these steps and make PAN card at home, absolutely FREE

Step 1 : To change the name on the PAN card, you must first go to https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html. Then you have to click on ‘Apply Online’.

Step 2 : After that go to ‘Application Type’ and select ‘Changes or correction in existing PAN data / Reprint of PAN Card (No changes in existing PAN data)’. Select ‘Individual’ in the category. After this, fill in the details like title, last name / surname, first name, date of birth, email ID, PAN number, Indian citizen and captcha code. After filling all the details, you have to click on ‘Submit’.

Step 3 : After that you will get a message, “We thank you for using the online PAN application service of NSDL e-village. Your request has been successfully registered with the token number xxxxxxxxx and provided it in the PAN application. The email has been sent to your email ID. To fill the remaining PAN application form, please click on the button below. You will have to click on ‘Continue with PAN Application Form “.

Step 4 : After this, you will be redirected to the online PAN application page. Check all the details that you have filled earlier.

Step 5 : You have to fill “Name as per Aadhaar”, meaning the name is on the Aadhaar card, whereas the name has to be filled here. If you update the photo, signature on the PAN, you can click on ‘Photo Mismatch’ and ‘Signature mismatch’ on the page. Once you have filled all the information, you have to click on ‘Next’. After following all the steps, you will get an enrollment slip.
